Presenters:

Amalie Briden - BPI (British Phonographic Industry)

Amalie Briden is an Innovation Manager at BPI, where she plays a pivotal role in fostering innovation and technological advancement in the music industry. At BPI, she is involved in initiatives that bridge the gap between music and technology, including the BPI's Insights and Innovation program which focuses on trends, data analysis, and the integration of new technologies such as AI and immersive media.

Halina Rice - Electronic music producer and AV artist

Halina Rice is an 'immersive first' electronic music producer and AV artist working at the intersection of music, art and technology. Her music ranges from ethereal soundscapes to beat-driven IDM with critically acclaimed releases ELISION on Injazero Records and 2023’s NEW BASIS EP.

Launching the NEW WORLDS project in 2020 she creates AV shows and installations in which to envelop her audience - frequently incorporating immersive technologies such as spatial audio, 360 projection mapping and metaverse environments. With her sold out headline shows - described as “part rave, part art-happening” - she has toured the UK and internationally including appearances at MUTEK Montreal, Amsterdam Dance Event and LEV Madrid.

Luke Ritchie - Chief of Strategic Partnerships for Reactional Music

Luke Ritchie is the Chief of Strategic Partnerships at Reactional Music. Reactional is a rule-based music engine that offers rich musical interactivity straight out of the box. It enables scalable music personalisation in games, music as an in-game purchase and its own composable generative music format. They have leadership from Kelly Sumner (from Take Two when it launched Rockstar Games & GTA to Red Octane for Guitar Hero), along with a team from EA, Spotify & Epic Games.

Leslie Deere - Guildhall School of Music & Drama

Dr Leslie Deere is an established artist and post-doctoral researcher at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Her background is in dance with her BA Hons in Sonic Art. Leslie will be discussing her PhD project Array Infinitive - exploring how live, gesture-driven audio-visual performances in virtual reality affect audience perception and awareness, particularly regarding their recognition of the human element within the immersive experience.
