Solutions
3D Game Development

Instant Character Animation Without Suits or Markers
Streamline the motion capture process for video game development by eliminating the need for special suits, markers, or calibration. Actors can simply jump into the system and their movements are instantly tracked and streamed into game engines, making 3D character animation faster and more cost-effective.
VFX/Film/Advertising

Efficient Motion Capture from Pre-vis to Post
Captury simplifies motion capture for visual effects, reducing talent preparation and data cleanup while enabling direct operation by animators. Our solutions can be used in all phases of filmmaking, from prototyping to production, making the process more efficient and economical.

Interactive Experiences Without Wearables
In virtual reality, markerless motion capture is used to capture the movements of a person and translate them into the movements of an avatar or digital character within the virtual environment. This allows for a more immersive and interactive experience, as the movements of the user are directly translated into the virtual world.

Objective Human Motion Data for Research and Healthcare
Transitioning to a markerless motion analysis system can decrease the amount of time required to gather the data that doctors and researchers depend on. Captury provides a comprehensive motion capture system that provides objective kinematic data to support those engaged in the study of human movement. It tracks and quantifies data in a more efficient manner than conventional marker-based systems, and interfaces seamlessly in real-time with third-party motion analysis software and devices.
Location Based Entertainment

Interactive Experiences Without Wearables
CapturyLive’s markerless human tracking technology enables fully immersive and interactive experiences, without markers or intrusive equipment. This allows visitors to engage with 3D virtual environments and interact with people and objects, making for exciting and unique entertainment or educational experiences.
Movement Science

OptiTrack systems offer the world’s leading blend of measurement accuracy and simple, easy-to-use workflows which provide researchers and biomechanists with ideal 3D tracking data for their studies.

University of Westminster Cavendish Road Immersive XR Lab
The University of Westminster contacted Target3D, seeking to enhance its XR Lab at their Cavendish Road campus, with a fully integrated virtual production solution.
The goal was to create a space that could cater to multiple disciplines across the university, covering applications such as immersive experiences, performance capture, research and collaborative teaching across various disciplines.
Target3D responded to this requirement with a comprehensive proposal featuring four key technologies: an immersive LED CAVE, marker-based and markerless motion capture systems from OptiTrack and Captury and a 360 degree sound solution, all capable of operating independently or together.
Testimonials

"Captury installed and supported by Target3D is already transforming our recruitment and teaching.
As long term users of markered motion capture from Optitrack and Vicon, we recognise the effectiveness and accuracy of such systems, but were always looking for an accurate and robust markerless motion capture system at the right price point. Since our teaching and research covers everything from games character animation and gait analysis to computer vision and perceptual user interfaces, we were picky about finding the right technical solution that was also intuitive to use, simple in operation, yet with technical grounding and depth of operability.
Discussions and demos with Target3D convinced us the time had come for a room based markerless system that would meet our needs. Now that the Captury system has been installed, it has quickly become our go-to solution for demonstrations, open days, and student engagement, as well as serious animation capture and development of immersive applications.
By having such a seamless solution for full body, hands, fingers and facial expressions, our development opportunities are now wide open. We use Captury for several creative computing and games modules to teach the creation and use of animation sets. Our PhDs take advantage of its live immersive control options, and we enjoy it by just streaming into Unity, Unreal or Motionbuilder to run characters, objects or effects.
As 30 year veterans of motion capture, markerless Captury is what we have been waiting for!
Students, lecturers, researchers and technicians are all happy with the choice."
