Introducing OptiTrack's New Versaˣ Outdoor Camera Lineup

The global leader in 3D tracking systems, has expanded its cutting-edge portfolio with the launch of the Versaˣ outdoor motion capture cameras, now available from Target3D.

These ground-breaking IP-66 rated cameras bring OptiTrack’s renowned precision and durability outdoors and indoors, opening up new possibilities for motion tracking in challenging environments.

The Versaˣ line is OptiTrack’s first family of weather-ready motion capture cameras, designed to withstand the elements outdoors whilst excelling in rugged environments like manufacturing facilities. With a dust-proof, robust build and a range of customizable features, these cameras are as versatile as they are reliable.

Options include multiple mounting solutions for seamless setup in factories, labs, or other facilities, as well as user-changeable lenses with wide or narrow FOV choices. For enhanced performance, Versaˣ cameras come with an attachable ring light, and an optional environmental cover provides extra protection in harsh outdoor or industrial settings.

The Versaˣ lineup includes three models - Versaˣ 22 (2.2 megapixels), Versaˣ 41 (4 megapixels), and Versaˣ 120 (12 megapixels) - mirroring the premium features of OptiTrack’s Primeˣ 22, Primeˣ 41, and Primeˣ 120 cameras, but with the added IP-66 rating for outdoor and industrial use. Paired with OptiTrack’s Motive software, these cameras deliver real-time motion data with exceptional accuracy by tracking retroreflective markers. Their durable, modular design also makes them easy to transport and reconfigure, offering long-term value across multiple projects without compromising quality.

This launch comes on the heels of another ground-breaking development from OptiTrack, Duplex Mode, which allows Primeˣ and Slimˣ cameras to capture data using markerless tracking and marker-based tracking simultaneously, eliminating the need to choose between methods.
