XYZ Reality needed tracking tech with millimetre-level accuracy for The Atom - a high-performance tool for the construction industry.

The challenge?
Their R&D space was packed with obstacles:

The SymphoMe team is currently exploring how motion capture and AI can be used to automate piano teaching, with precision tracking and realtime feedback.

With the aid of @digitalcatapult funding, StudioT3D stepped in to help bring SymphoMe’s vision of responsive music learning to life.

We talked to founder and CEO Ifeanyichukwu Ezinmadu about the company’s goals and share a behind the scenes look at the shoot, held at our Advanced Media Production Dock Street studio.

Allan Rankin and Samuel Lawrence are demonstrating a @the.captury system at CAMERA (the Centre for the Analysis of Motion, Entertainment Research and Applications).

Captury is an AI powered motion capture software that utilises existing @optitrack motion capture cameras, tracking people in the space without the need for motion capture suits.

We worked closely with ICTheatre to help shape a new kind of training space - one where motion capture and traditional performance go hand in hand.

Inside the newly developed Bird Studios, we designed and delivered a full mocap volume:

📍 10 x OptiTrack PrimeX 13 cameras
🎥 Performer suits + markers
🖥️ Custom mocap workstation

Our Curriculum Manager Ryan Mercier also built a dedicated 10-session module, giving students a practical and creative route into performance capture.

The module helped prepare artists for the digital environments - an important part of future performance skills.
